About the Role

Join Atlassian’s pioneering AI Natives unit as an AI GTM Engineer and help redefine how the world’s fastest-growing AI companies are engaged. This is your chance to build and scale automated, agentic go-to-market systems from the ground up—where your code and creativity drive real business impact. ❖ About the Role As a GTM Engineer B2B SaaS, you’ll bridge Sales, Data Science, and Engineering to architect and operate our AI GTM stack. You’ll replace manual, high-volume outreach with intelligent, signal-based automation that delivers personalized engagement at massive scale. Reporting to the Head of High Velocity Sales, you’ll be part of a newly formed team focused on Greenfield AI and Digital Native accounts. ❖ Key Responsibilities - Build and co-architect the AI GTM Operating System in real time, collaborating with business owners, AI Natives Managers, SalesOps, Growth Platform, and Engineering. - Ensure the tech stack acts as a multiplier, especially at the top of funnel, targeting greenfield companies with precision. - Design, deploy, and iterate agentic workflows tailored for AI and Digital Native plays, moving from segment-level to account-level orchestration. - Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Growth Platform, and Engineering, translating business needs into technical solutions and vice versa. - Integrate first-party product telemetry and propensity models to trigger outreach based on real signals, not static schedules. - Partner with Systems & Tools and SalesOps to maintain Salesforce as the clean system of record and data foundation for the stack. - Operate and scale the autonomous GTM stack: deploy prompts, monitor agent performance, tune orchestration, and escalate only when human judgment is needed. - Start with AI Natives (~20k greenfield and free accounts), then expand to SMB Sales—build once, scale everywhere. - Measure key metrics: Cost per Inference (CPI), pipeline attribution, conversion rates, and rep time recovered for high-value conversations. - Multiply the sales team’s impact by enabling AEs and Inside Sales with co-pilot surfaces, real-time intelligence, and auto-generated proposal decks. ❖ Experimentation & Innovation - Run weekly experiments on signals, hooks, timing, channels, and agentic behaviors—iterate rapidly with no legacy playbook. - Document and scale repeatable AI GTM plays, creating the blueprint for high-velocity sales to greenfield targets. - Feed insights back into Growth Platform, Product Marketing, and Pricing to sharpen the AI Natives value proposition. ❖ Shaping the Future of GTM - Evaluate and integrate external AI GTM providers, recommending build vs. buy at every layer. - Stay at the forefront of agentic AI, bringing outside-in perspective and ensuring Atlassian’s GTM strategy leads the market. ❖ What You Bring Must-Have: - 3+ years in Growth Engineering, Revenue Operations, GTM Engineering, or technical AE roles at high-growth SaaS or AI companies - Technical proficiency with APIs, JSON, webhooks, and scripting (Python or JavaScript); adept with automation platforms - Hands-on experience building automated outbound workflows (e.g., cold outbound HubSpot Clay) - AI-native mindset: early adopter of LLMs and agentic workflows, skilled in prompt engineering for high-quality output - Strong GTM intuition: understands sales funnels, ICP definition, and what makes a compelling hook for technical audiences - Data-driven approach: designs experiments, measures outcomes, and optimizes relentlessly Nice-to-Have: - Experience with AI-native or developer-first companies - Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Rovo) and developer/IT buyer personas - Salesforce administration experience - Background in PLG + sales hybrid motions (product-qualified leads, PLS) - Prior work with GTM tooling companies like Clay, Copy.ai, Apollo, Instantly, or Outreach ❖ Why Atlassian & This Role This is not a typical GTM Engineer job.
