Engineering Full-time
Go-To-Market (GTM) Engineer / Revenue Operations
About the Role
Join Abselion as a GTM Engineer and help revolutionize how scientists measure biomolecules. Be at the forefront of commercializing cutting-edge biotech, building the technical backbone that powers our growth and transforms the industry.
❖ About Abselion
Abselion is a Cambridge University spin-out redefining biomolecule measurement with our Amperia platform. Using proprietary Redox Electrochemical Detection (RED) technology, we enable rapid, direct quantification of His-tagged and Fc-containing proteins, host cell proteins, and AAVs—no purification or specialist training required. Our customers include leading protein expression, antibody discovery, and AAV development teams in academia, biotech, and pharma worldwide.
❖ The Opportunity: GTM Engineer / Revenue Operations
We are seeking a GTM Engineer (2–5 years’ experience) to architect and operate the technical infrastructure behind Abselion’s commercial engine. This Revenue Operations role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and engineering, with a focus on building and automating our GTM stack. You’ll own our HubSpot CRM, streamline workflows, and develop AI-assisted systems to help us reach and engage scientific buyers at scale.
❖ Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of HubSpot CRM: data model, pipelines, automations, reporting, and integrations
- Build and maintain the GTM tech stack, including enrichment tools (Clay, Apollo), email sequencing, lead scoring, and dashboards
- Design automated workflows for lead enrichment, account research, meeting prep, and follow-up reminders
- Develop AI-assisted tools (LLM-based) for prospect research, account summaries, scientific briefs, and personalized email drafting
- Instrument the sales funnel: define and report on pipeline health, conversion rates, source attribution, and sales-cycle metrics
- Run experiments on messaging, channels, and targeting; rigorously measure and scale what works
- Maintain data hygiene and integrations across HubSpot, Microsoft 365, and other commercial tools
- Document processes and train the commercial team to ensure adoption of new systems
- Continuously improve workflows and tech stack as the business grows
❖ What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years in a GTM Engineer, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or Growth Engineer role
- Deep, hands-on expertise with HubSpot: configuration, automation, and integration
- Coding skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar), SQL, and experience with APIs, webhooks, and no-code/low-code automation tools (Clay, n8n, Zapier, Make)
- Practical experience deploying LLMs and AI tools in production workflows
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define metrics, build dashboards, and interpret data
- Pragmatic, builder mentality—focused on delivering working systems quickly
- Excellent written communication for documentation and team training
❖ Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into scientific or technical buyers (biotech, pharma, life sciences, deep-tech, hardware)
- Background in complex, considered-purchase B2B sales (not high-velocity SaaS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Outlook and HubSpot integration
- Scientific literacy—able to understand protein research abstracts
❖ What We Offer
- Dynamic, fast-paced environment in a growing Series A biotech
- Opportunity to build the GTM infrastructure from the ground up
- Share option scheme
- Competitive base salary (£40,000–£60,000, depending on experience)
- Collaborative team at the intersection of biology, engineering, and data science
