About the Role
Join Pulumi as a GTM Engineer and help shape the future of cloud infrastructure in the AI era. If you’re passionate about building AI-powered tools that drive real business impact, this is your chance to work with cutting-edge technology and a world-class team.
❖ About Pulumi
Pulumi is the leading infrastructure as code platform for the AI era, empowering developers and platform teams to build, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using real programming languages like Python, TypeScript, Go, and Java. Our open-source technology and SaaS platform, Pulumi Cloud, serve over 3,250 customers and a global community of 350,000+ members. We’re remote-first, collaborative, and driven by innovation.
❖ About the GTM Engineer Role
As a GTM Engineer on Pulumi’s Growth team, you’ll take full ownership of designing and delivering AI-powered tools, workflow automations, and internal apps that accelerate our sales and marketing teams. This high-impact, builder role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, working across the stack, and shipping solutions that drive measurable results.
❖ What You’ll Do
- Build internal AI applications and workflow automations to streamline GTM processes, such as automating paid digital programs and improving Pulumi’s visibility in AI search platforms
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Community Engineering, and Customer Success to deeply understand their workflows and deliver solutions that stick
- Analyze high-performing GTM behaviors and operationalize best practices into scalable systems
- Develop activation tooling to help new users realize value faster, including onboarding sequences, trial health scoring, and personalized product nudges
- Create signals and workflows to identify when free users or trial organizations are ready to upgrade, routing them to self-serve or sales-assisted motions
- Build early-warning systems to surface accounts at risk of churn and empower Customer Success to act at scale
- Instrument funnel analytics to provide clear insights into user acquisition, activation, and retention
❖ What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of full-stack or backend development experience, with a track record of shipping high-quality production software (apps, APIs, or automations)
- Proficiency in AI-assisted development, including experience with LLMs and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude Code)
- Deep understanding of GTM systems (Salesforce, lead routing, data flows between marketing and sales)
- Experience with automation and integration tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar
- Ability to work across the stack: write Python scripts, wire up APIs, build lightweight front ends, and deploy solutions
- Strong ownership mindset—proactively identify problems, ship solutions, and measure outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders, translating GTM challenges into effective systems
❖ Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Pulumi, Terraform, CDK)
- Background in developer tools, open source, or technical B2B SaaS
- Experience building for AI-native workflows or agentic systems
❖ Why Pulumi
- Remote-first culture with a collaborative, engineering-driven environment
- Competitive compensation and equity
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
- Unlimited PTO with a minimum of three weeks off annually, plus 13 U.S. holidays
- 401(k) with employer match (U.S. employees)
- Generous parental leave (20 weeks for birthing/primary caregivers, 16 weeks for non-birthing/secondary caregivers)
- Annual learning and development budget
- Monthly wellness fund and quarterly happiness fund
- Equity ownership for all employees
- Work on meaningful problems and see your impact in real business outcomes
